About

Jami Lashbrook

My name is Jami, and I’m a writer living in London. It’s not where I was born or where I grew up, but it is the first place I’ve ever felt comfortable calling home.

I’ll be honest: writing about myself does not come naturally. I could probably write you a very persuasive cover letter, but talking myself up is another matter entirely. So bear with me while I do my best to introduce myself.

What do I write?

For most of my life, I imagined I would become a novelist. Instead, I found my way into the world of professional writing through a BSc in Technical Communications and an MA in Marketing Management. Those degrees not only helped me build a career as a published and paid writer, but also gave me the opportunity to move to London and pursue a life centred around words, ideas, and storytelling. Not content to leave my creative ambitions behind, I am currently pursuing an MA in Creative Writing, with a particular focus on Creative Nonfiction.

These days, my writing pays the bills — although “content writer” barely scratches the surface of the job title. I specialise in B2B marketing content for marketing technology companies, translating complex products, strategies and industry trends into content that people actually want to read. Whether it’s thought leadership, blogs, white papers or campaign assets, my work sits at the intersection of creativity and commercial communication.

On the personal side, I’ve been writing and maintaining a blog for more than a decade. While it’s been a little neglected in recent years, it remains a home for my thoughts, observations, and creative experiments. I’m hoping to return to it more regularly, so if you’re curious, feel free to have a look around.
