I noticed about a week ago that the 15th of March 2010 was my first post on this blog…or so I thought. I even put a reminder in my phone (a.k.a. my lifeline) to write today. It turns out that I actually started the whole blogging thing on March 2, 2010. The 15th was my first blog on with WordPress location. I moved it over from another spot on a friend’s suggest and the two blogs I had written earlier traveled over, too. So the air is out of my sails just a bit because I ended up missing my One Year Anniversary of blogging. Ho hum!
So, in a somewhat disappointed state I will say one year ago today I started writing my blog at this particular spot. It’s been an interesting year. A few ups and a few downs. All in all it hasn’t been a terrible year. I have learned a few things about myself that are sort of revelations to me. Some things I have shared on this blog, others I will keep to myself and explore in private. I have learned that you can teach an old dog new tricks as witnessed by me suddenly becoming a runner. )There I said it. I’m apparently a runner now. Ack!) I have also learned that relationships/friendships are always changing and sometime it’s a good thing to re-evaluate those relationships to see where you really stand.
I always meant to write more here. I hoped to have a sort of conversation with those of you who show up and read and respond. I still hope for that. I have learned quite a bit about goals this past year. I’ve made a few and I am actually on my way to accomplishing one very soon (running my first 5K). So now I’ll make a goal for this spot and that is to write here at least once a week. That means that one year from now instead of having 13 total posts I’ll have added at least 52 more. This should be do-able, right? I may need help with topics so if you have any suggestions use that comment section, please.
I will close this by saying thank you to all of you who stop by regularly and read. I hope you keep coming back and maybe bring a friend. Your support is greatly appreciated! 🙂
Beware the ides of March.
Please keep writing. I promise to keep reading!
